Definition

Supernatural means operating outside or beyond the known laws of nature. Supernal, by contrast, means belonging to a higher, heavenly, or divine realm above the ordinary world. Supernatural focuses on forces that defy natural explanation, often including ghosts or magic. Supernal focuses on celestial or divine origin.

What it describes

A small village has a legend about an old well. People say that at midnight, a ghostly figure appears near the well and whispers the names of those who will die soon. Scientists have tested the water and found nothing unusual. Yet several villagers swear they have seen the figure with their own eyes. They believe something exists that cannot be explained by science. What kind of being do the villagers believe in? They believe in a supernatural being.
