Reconcile means to restore a friendly relationship between people or to make two opposing ideas, facts, or demands compatible. Unlike coordinate (organising parts to work together), reconcile involves resolving conflict, contradiction, or difference. It often carries emotional or logical tension that must be resolved, not merely arranged.
